I took Swords 1 with Terence “T.J.” Rotolo through Minds Eye Tribe, and then the Jedi 7 (7 combat styles of the Star Wars Universe) with TJ Storm and Terence Rotolo, also through Minds Eye Tribe. I have such a strong foundation now, and will continue training and working out! The instruction was top-notch, andContinue reading “Swords and Lightsabers – Minds Eye Tribe”

Stunts: wire work
This was a new one for me: wires! This was also my first experience with Action Planet LA. It was a great time to get some experience in both a jerk harness, as well as a Hong Kong harness. Similar–but different!–from climbing, for sure. Can’t wait to get on the wires again.
MBK – now on Behind the Voice Actors!
An eagle-eyed friend of mine gave me the good news: I am now officially on Behind the Voice Actors! I can’t wait to see my credits rack up over the years 🙂
Tom Keegan – weekend acting intensive
I had the great fortune of doing a three-day intensive (10 am – 7 pm every day!) with the great Tom Keegan. It really reignited my “Actor flame”–what a great reinvigoration of fundamentals I learned as an actual child. Really wonderful to explore them afresh as an adult. It’s hard to find the words toContinue reading “Tom Keegan – weekend acting intensive”
Clowning!
Over the course of seven weeks, I studied the art of jester at The Clown School. I loved clowns as a kid, and I’ve worked as a clown for a gig here or there, but had never really studied it in a targeted way. David Bridel is simply a wonder. Both the founder of theContinue reading “Clowning!”
New skins for EMP and Raven (PtN)
Two characters I voice in the mobile gacha game Path to Nowhere have new skins coming out. You can hear a little of the voice lines releasing with the skin in the videos on these tweets 🙂 Voicing both of these characters (as well as Cinnabar and all the one-offs I appear as) has beenContinue reading “New skins for EMP and Raven (PtN)”
I entered… the MoCap Vaults
A long time coming, I took the intro class through The Mocap Vaults with legendary performer Richard Dorton. Performance capture is something I’m focusing on in 2024, and this was a great launchpad. I can’t wait to get moving in the volume! Watch my pcap page this year for more movement and experience to fill in.
Northeaster – new audiobook
My very first audiobook as a narrator is now out. The book, Northeaster by Cathie Pelletier, is a non-fiction narrative accounting of a historic blizzard in Maine. My own grandmother is an ancillary character in this book, which was a really special experience. Audiofile choose it for their December Editors’ Picks, and gave a glowing review:
Ugly Sweater Meetup – The Halp Network
So nice to see these folks at the Halp Network ugly sweater community meetup. End of year is such a special time full of gathering and community opportunities, and I’m very grateful to all who put the time and energy into allowing our industry to come together and celebrate what we’ve accomplished throughout the year, celebrate eachContinue reading “Ugly Sweater Meetup – The Halp Network”
Singing for Animation – Voice Masters
I took Singing for Animation, a multi-week course taught by Danny Fehsenfeld through Voice Masters. This class pushed me in a lot of ways, both as a character actor and as a vocalist. I’m raring to go to sing in character and tell a story through song.
